Tree Surgeon Coventry
Who we are
Managing the City's Great Post-War Tree Stock
Coventry’s story is written in its trees. The city replanted heavily after the war, and those street and garden trees, cherries, limes, maples, whitebeams, are now sixty to eighty years old and at full size. A generation of trees reaching maturity at the same time means a generation of crown reductions, deadwood removal and, where decay has set in, careful dismantling. That is the work we do in Coventry week in, week out.
We are twenty-five minutes away via the A45/A46, covering the whole city and its edge villages. Domestic gardens are the bulk of it, but we also look after commercial premises, schools and care settings where certified, insured contractors are non-negotiable.

Local knowledge
Every Coventry Suburb, One Trusted Team
Across the City and Around It
From Earlsdon, Chapelfields and Coundon in the west to Walsgrave, Binley and Willenhall in the east, plus Styvechale by the War Memorial Park, Cheylesmore, Radford, Holbrooks, Allesley, Tile Hill and out to Baginton, Balsall Common edge and Brandon. If you are inside the Coventry ring of the A45/A46, we cover you.
Coventry City Council, TPOs and Conservation Areas
Coventry City Council maintains Tree Preservation Orders citywide, and conservation areas, including Spon End, Allesley village, Earlsdon and the London Road cemetery fringe, require six weeks’ notice before tree works. We run the checks before quoting and lodge the application or notice on your behalf.
The Species Doing the Damage, and the Good
Flowering cherries lifting drives and paths, over-mature limes over parking bays, and self-set sycamores in every neglected corner: classic Coventry. But the city also holds genuinely special trees around the War Memorial Park and Coombe Abbey fringes. We treat each on its merits, engineering solutions for the problem trees, conservative care for the special ones.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you cover all Coventry postcodes?
Yes. CV1 through CV6 and the edge villages including Allesley, Baginton, Brandon and Binley Woods. We are about 25 minutes from the city via the A45, and we schedule Coventry work several days each week.
My cherry tree is lifting the driveway, can it be saved?
Sometimes. Options range from root pruning with a root barrier to crown reduction to reduce future growth, through to removal and replacement with a smaller-rooted species. We will inspect and give you honest options with prices for each.
How do I find out if my Coventry tree has a TPO?
Coventry City Council keeps the register, but the fastest route is to let us check when we quote, we confirm TPO and conservation-area status and handle the six-week notice or consent application for you at no extra charge.
Can you work at schools and commercial premises in Coventry?
Yes. We carry the insurance, DBS-checked staff and RAMS documentation that schools, care homes and facilities managers require, and we can schedule work for holidays, weekends or out-of-hours to avoid disruption.
What does stump grinding cost in Coventry?
It depends on stump diameter and access, but as a guide most domestic stumps are ground below surface level for a modest fixed price, and significantly less when combined with tree removal on the same visit. Every quote is free and written.
